BWT Lechner Racing has another opportunity to savour the flair of Italian motorsport and the thrill of racing at one of the world’s most iconic circuits as the season reaches its climax. Autodromo Nazionale di Monza once again provides the stage for the final round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup. The team is highly motivated to end the season on a high at the legendary high-speed circuit, which hosted a race in the inaugural Formula 1 World Championship season in 1950.

Monza has been ever-present on the calendar since Lechner Racing joined the Supercup in 2003, giving the team a wealth of experience to draw on ahead of the weekend. With nine wins to its name, the team has also been the most successful over this time. Its extensive knowledge of the approximately 5.8-kilometre high-speed circuit, combined with valuable data gathered during a recent two-day test at the Autodromo with the latest-generation Porsche 911 Cup car, leaves BWT Lechner Racing well prepared to take on the challenge.
Robert de Haan, Marcus Amand and Caleb Sumich are all more than ready for the final race weekend of the 2026 season. The trio will be determined to end the year with a standout performance, with de Haan and Amand looking to add another victory to the wins they have already secured this season. At Monza, both drivers will be among the leading contenders in the battle for victory. Sumich, meanwhile, has unfinished business of his own: The young Australian came agonisingly close to securing his first top-10 finish and maiden Rookie podium last time out at Zandvoort.
The Porsche Mobil1 Supercup race goes green on Sunday 6 September at 11:45 and will run over a distance of 15 laps. Grid positions are decided the day before, with the 30-minute qualifying session starting at 10:50 on Saturday.
