BWT Lechner Racing driver Harry King claimed pole position for the eighth and final round of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2023 at the famous Autodromo Nazionale di Monza: The Brit repeated his achievement from last year, where he also had set the fastest time in qualifying. Harri Jones reached his best grid position in the whole year with P3 while championship leader Bastian Buus finished in P9 in a very tight session, typical for the high speed Monza circuit.
King was ever so happy about his achievement: “I am delighted to score another pole position here, continuing our strong form. A good start will be critical, as it´s a long run down to turn one, and then maintaining the position through the chicane. If we manage to do this, I am confident that with the speed of the car we can bring home a third victory this year.”
BWT Lechner Racing Team Principal Robert Lechner has his eyes already completely set on the race on Sunday: “Crowning our great season so far with winning the drivers´title with Bastian and the team championship is the big goal of course. The chances are good, but we have to stay completely focused and give our best one more time to pull it all through.”
