#PMSC - SILVERSTONE PREVIEW

|   PMSC
Home race for BWT Lechner Racing driver Harry King at Silverstone

Highlight after highlight for BWT Lechner Racing: After the team´s home race in Austria now the classical Silverstone circuit, the "home of British motor racing", will set the stage for round 4 of the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2024.

The race at the 5.891 km long track with its famous corners like Copse, Maggots, Becketts, Stowe, and Abbey is also the home race for BWT Lechner Racing driver Harry King, who scored a podium there in his first season with the team in 2022. Robert de Haan also has good personal  memories of the track, as he made it to P2 last year as a very young guest starter in the series.

Especially the famous classical corner combination of Maggots and Becketts, entered with more than 200 kph, poses a huge challenge to all the drivers. The slightest mistake there will result in losing a lot of speed and time on the following Hangar straight. The always unpredictable British weather can easily spice things up too, throwing one or the other rain shower into the mix.

Robert Lechner, Team Principal and CEO of BWT Lechner Racing: “We are in a very intense phase of the season right now with four races within five weekends before the summer break. This is a big challenge for the whole team, but we are well prepared to take it on and deliver the best performance possible. I always like to come back to racing in Great Britain, not only because I lived there for three years during my own racing career, but also because there is always a very special atmosphere due to the huge number of very well-informed fans. And of course it´s Harry´s home race: He performed so well during the first races of the season, I think we can expect something special from him here as well.”

Harry King: “Silverstone is always a big highlight for me. It´s one of the races I am really looking forward to. Of course, having the home support and having a lot of family members around, which is quite rare for me is great. Looking back, I scored a podium there in 2022, but had a quite unlucky race last year, so I am hoping to get some redemption for that.”

Robert de Haan: “I am looking forward to Silverstone, hopefully it will be a better weekend than the Red Bull Ring for me. I am sure that we can do a good job, we are ready to fight back  and have a strong comeback.”

Theo Oeverhaus: “I can´t wait to have my first race at Silverstone together with BWT Lechner Racing. Hopefully we will have the same speed like last weekend in Austria.”
