From Home Victory to Spa-Francorchamps: BWT Lechner Racing Eyes Another Strong Weekend
After celebrating an emotional home victory at the Red Bull Ring, BWT Lechner Racing heads to one of the most iconic venues in international motorsport as the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup continues with Round 4 of the 2026 season. From 17–19 July, the championship travels to Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in the heart of the Belgian Ardennes.
Spa-Francorchamps has played a prominent role in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup since the championship's inaugural season in 1993 and remains one of the most iconic circuits in the world. The 7.004-km circuit is famous for its high-speed layout, dramatic elevation changes and world-famous corners such as Eau Rouge and Raidillon.
BWT Lechner Racing has enjoyed considerable success at Spa over the years, celebrating seven Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup wins, with its most recent triumph coming in 2022, when Dylan Pereira claimed victory.
The whole team is looking forward to an intensive and exciting race weekend:
Dutchman Robert de Haan heads to Spa full of confidence after his victory in Spielberg. Having also secured a strong third-place finish at Spa last season, he will be aiming to fight for another podium and a potential win this weekend. Rookie Caleb Sumich continues to improve throughout his debut Supercup campaign and is determined to convert his steady progress.
Marcus Amand has demonstrated excellent pace during the first three rounds of the season. After suffering an unfortunate puncture on the final lap in Spielberg, he is highly motivated to challenge further up the order as the championship enters its next phase.
“After a strong performance in the last round at the Red Bull Ring, we want to carry that momentum to Belgium and continue building on the progress we have made. Spa-Francorchamps is one of the most iconic and demanding circuits on the calendar, and it is exactly the kind of challenge we look forward to. The whole team is highly motivated, and we are aiming for another successful weekend.”
Robert Lechner, Team Principal
With momentum on its side and a circuit that has played a significant role in the team's history, BWT Lechner Racing is ready to take on another exciting chapter at one of motorsport's greatest venues.
