#PMSC - Theo Oeverhaus – #CarreraCupME Champion in the BWT Lechner Racing line-up!
Recently crowned Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East 2023/2024 Champion Theo Oeverhaus will join BWT Lechner Racing for the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2024. The only 19-year-old youngster from Germany also won the Rookie Championship in the German Porsche Carrera Cup in 2023 and now will join Harry King and Robert de Haan to form an impressively strong driver line-up for the upcoming season.
Team Principal and CEO Robert Lechner states: “I have followed Theo’s career already since last year, when he was the Rookie Champion in the German Porsche Carrera Cup. I remember inviting him to visit us during summer 2023, and we have stayed in contact ever since, as I consider him one of the biggest talents around. His joining the Middle East winter series was a great commitment to his preparation for the upcoming challenges in the summer season. I am sure he is a perfect fit for our 2024 Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup line-up.”
Oeverhaus, of course, is also very happy: “What an amazing time in my career. I am still over the moon about winning the Porsche Carrera Cup Middle East and being the first champion of this series. I learned so much during this winter, and now signing for BWT Lechner Racing and being part of the most successful team ever in the Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup is just a dream come true.
